Episode Description

Don’t even think about saying, “I have too much to do” or “I don’t have time to listen this week.” Is “If stress burned calories, I’d be a supermodel” your mantra? If so, you NEED to make time to listen this week. Stress is something that we all encounter at one time or another…in both the boardroom and in the bedroom. For some, stress becomes debilitating, but it is not healthy for any of us. As part of its Health and Exercise Science Major, The College of New Jersey offers a course in Stress Management. You know that it’s not just college students who get stressed! So, join me and my guests, Dr. Anne Christine Farrell, Joanne Smith-Tavener, and Janet Lomonico, professors of the College’s course. They will share some of the secrets of stress management including strategies for desensitization to stressful situations, enhancement of self-image, and scientific relaxation techniques to deal with and overcome stress. Put down the stress ball, step away from the dart board, and listen in!
