Congratulations to HEST Student – Shannon Boise!

The Outstanding Future Professional Award is given to two health and physical education students in New Jersey and reflects EDAs commitment to its future professionals. Once chosen for this award, those students are sent to the Eastern District’s annual convention where they will attend conferences and a banquet honoring their achievements. In order to receive this award, students must be in good standing with their college and be a member of AAHPERD.

During her time at TCNJ, Shannon was the recipient of the Sally Flanagan ’80 Field Experience II Scholarship in 2012, was a research assistant for a faculty-student research study, and was the Vice President of the Health and Exercise Science club for the 2011-2012 school year. She also presented original activities at the NJAHPERD/EDA Convention in 2012, and has been published twice in the Journal of Physical Education, Recreation, and Danc , as well as serving as a student representative for TCNJ on the NJAHPERD committee.

Shannon will be receiving her award during the EDA convention in February in Valley Forge, PA
